AHIP: Uninsured Report Highlights Urgent Social And Economic Challenge For The Nation

�Karen Ignagni, President and CEO of America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), released the following statement on new data released by the U.S. Census Bureau showing that more than 45 meg Americans ar uninsured:


"Today's report viewing that 45 million Americans are uninsured highlights a critical social and economical challenge that the nation must address. While the Census Bureau reports a modest decline in the uninsured rate, this does not scale down the importunity of the crisis. Over the past two geezerhood, our community has put forth a series of proposals to cover the uninsured, meliorate quality, and reduce skyrocketing health care costs. We need coverage for all Americans, coverage they toilet afford, and coverage they can keep."
